Whimsical yet elegant…glamorous and fresh… Describe the accessories designed by Sujata.

Exotic hinterlands - from the Indian state of Rajasthan, to Marrakech, Morocco, breezy Caribbean islands to the bazaars of Istanbul - serve as inspiration for materials used in her creations.

A nomad herself, Sujata has traveled near and far, breathing life into her craft from souvenirs and objets d'art collected along the way. A typical Sujata handbag might feature radiant Austrian crystals, fine Italian leathers, exotic feathers or a rich array of both natural and synthetic textiles - all to be found at moderate prices! A Sujata clutch is a statement piece, designed to provoke curiosity and wonderment. Don't expect the usual, fantasy and enchantment are her game.

In addition to her primary devotion to handbag/evening bag design, Sujata's portfolio hardly stops there. In fact, she designs and produces costume jewelry, hair ornaments, hats and scarves in refined to bizarre organic shapes and sizes. Custom orders have been her backbone for years and helped her to diversify her skills and ability to service the most discerning of customers.

Sujata accessories have been published in many market and editorial fashion spreads in top fashion and lifestyle publications, such as Vogue, Harper's Baazar, Elle, W, Women's Wear Daily, Madmoiselle, Glamour, Modern Bride, and Mode, to name a few. Her media coverage includes national broadcast spots on NBC'S "The Today Show," MTV'S "House of Style" and E! Entertainment's Extra Show." Celebrities and music personalities have custom ordered her accessories for personal and promotional use. Plus Hollywood stylists use her accessories as props for major studio productions. Television shows such as "Sex & The City"and "Clueless," along with feature films such as "A Night At The Roxbury," "Never Been Kissed," and "The Loser," all provide a display of Sujata's distinctive pieces.

London born and U.S. raised, Sujata was formally trained at the American Intercontinental University in London, where simultaneously she worked under the tutelage of well-known, British designer Zandra Rhodes.

Sujata is featured in the new book "Nobody's Business But Your Own," published by Hyperion. The book's author, Carolyn Brown says Sujata is featured "as one of the case studies of noteworthy young entrepreneurs who have distinguished themselves as leaders of the pack through their innovation, creativity, and raw talent."
